Comparison

Microsoft Word is the most widely utilized word-processing software program on the market. Despite providing the same basic word-processing functions, the 2007 and 2010 versions of the software have many differences. According to TechRepublic, the main advantages of Word 2010 over its predecessor are that it offers more stable performance and a more aesthetically-pleasing design.


ISSUE:
       Just installed Office 2010 and trying to stick with it, but Word keeps freezing after opening documents from Word2003. Yet to be able to get a Word 2003 document to open without hanging / not responding. Any knows tweaks to fix this yet? Is it just me?

REFLECTION:

In Office 2010, a total of seven versions, but in terms of volume licensing customers, Microsoft only provides a choice of two versions, namely Standard and Professional Plus version, the version number of Office 2007 is only half the reduction in the Ultimate and Enterprise Edition.

It is understood that, Office 2010 Professional Plus Edition will include OneNote, SharePoint Workspace and Office Web Apps, Office 2010 Standard Edition will include Publisher, OneNote, and Office Web Apps.

Reduce the volume license package will reduce the business user confusion, can help decision makers to choose the version according to organizational needs.

In addition, the agreement signed volume license Software Assurance customers can also in corporate firewall in a private cloud services, hosting Office Web Apps, enable employees to access Office applications through the Web. As a result, business users will be able to access the Office’s security and higher control.
